I researched the lives of women in prison in the proquest site. The information given was so extensive that I had a difficult time in walking away from the computer. I found myself reading on and on. It was great to find that the information was listed in a summary or full text form! It even had search tips if you became stumped! Proquest was listed as a resource for k-12, but I would have to disagree. The information is definitely above the minds of the younger children.
I took the time to read through some of the other blog's. It was nice to get another perspective on different ways to interpret the same information.
I looked up the magazine "Ranger Rick". My kids used to get it in the mail when they were little. They were so excited to look at them! The information is so detailed in this site, when, where, date, etc. I do think it would take me more time to reasearch proquest to get better aquainted.
Thanks for your comments, LT. Yes, in general, we recommend ProQuest for HS-adults, but you did find back issues of Ranger Rick. ProQuest can really expand what periodicals your library can offer, and it's available 24/7! We like the breadth of popular, trade, and scholarly journals.
